Gia Creative Productions presents an exclusive Abhinaya Workshop focused on the art of expression, emotion, and storytelling in dance. Led by accomplished dancer and educator Radhika Radhakrishnan, this session is specially curated for dancers who wish to deepen their expressive abilities and connect movement with emotion.

Abhinaya is the soul of Indian dance forms — where subtle facial expressions, eye movements, and emotional clarity bring choreography to life. This workshop offers participants a rare opportunity to explore Abhinaya in depth through guided practice and mindful observation.

What the Workshop Covers

Throughout the session, participants will be guided through a thoughtfully structured program that focuses on both technique and expression:

Dynamic semi-classical dance routines that blend rhythm, grace, and fluid movement

Improvisation and freestyle techniques to encourage creativity and musical interpretation

Performance readiness tips, including posture, transitions, and stage awareness

Body movement awareness and confidence building, helping dancers move with clarity and control

What to Expect

The session will focus on building a strong foundation in expressive dance through:

Understanding facial expressions, eye movements, and emotional transitions

Exploring storytelling techniques through Abhinaya

Connecting inner emotion with physical movement

Developing stage presence, confidence, and expressive clarity

Learning how to communicate emotions authentically during performance

The workshop encourages dancers to slow down, observe, feel, and express — helping them move beyond steps and into meaningful performance.
